Cytoskeletal proteins constitute a fundamental framework within cells, dictating structural integrity, mechanical support, and dynamic cellular processes. This article explores the multifaceted roles of cytoskeletal proteins, encompassing microfilaments (actin filaments), microtubules, and intermediate filaments. From cellular architecture to intracellular transport, their influence is pervasive. Actin filaments drive cellular motility and division, microtubules establish cellular highways and orchestrate accurate chromosome segregation, while intermediate filaments provide mechanical resilience. This abstract provides an overview of the captivating world of cytoskeletal proteins and their implications in cellular function and disease.
