Abhishek Sharma and Malvika Misra
A manual laborer who works in an industry where he exposes himself to vibrations of
machines regular and heavily. Initially he noticed a thickening of skin in his right palm,
gradually it becomes a nodule. This worsened over several months with formation of a cord
and contracture affecting the little finger. He was otherwise well, takes no medications, a nonalcoholic
and had no other risk factors. Vibration exposure was mainly an occupational risk
factor in his case associated strongly with Dupuytren’s contracture. A different etiopathology
associated with this disease.
