The experiment was conducted at Jimma University College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine with the objective of determining the growth response of Pelargonium peltatum to application of Alar, Cycocel and Bonzi. The experiment was laid down as randomized complete block design with three replications. On the test plants it was observed that the application of Alar, Cycocel and Bonzi considerably affected most of the evaluated parameters except the number of roots. Accordingly, the maximum number of main branches was obtained from the application Bonzi even if Cycocel and Alar brought increased number of branches as compared to those plants which did not receive growth retardants. Overall, the investigation showed that Alar, Cycocel and Bonzi can influence growth of Pelargonium peltatum. From commercial grower point of view, obtaining large number of quality braches (cutting) is crucial. Hence, application of Bonzi, on the test plant can be recommended for use by commercial growers in Ethiopia.
