This study focus was to determine the factors affecting Pakistani-students decision to choose physical therapy as their career and evaluate whether there was gender-based factors that tilts their career decision. Around the world professions are selected due to various reasons & almost the same set of factors applies for the Physical therapists as well. The study was a questionnaire-based cross-sectional study of the 70 physical therapy students in one of the public university. Data was collected & compiled from the selected sample of selected students regarding the demographics & about their score on the importance of 12- factors scale for their impact on their decision to choose physical therapy as career. Three factors influencing their decision to select physical therapy as a profession were, the results obtained at the F.sc- Pre-med (68%), Job opportunities availability (67%), Helping-others desire in their future (58%). Two other factors were, received treatment or worked with a physiotherapist before, and become a physical therapist were the only factor which marked by majority of the students that as having no importance in their decision to select physical therapy as profession.
