Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are integral to Earth’s climate regulation, creating the natural greenhouse effect.
However, human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, have significantly increased GHG
concentrations, intensifying the greenhouse effect and driving climate change. This article explores the sources,
impacts, and mitigation strategies related to greenhouse gases. Examining the consequences of rising temperatures,
ocean acidification, extreme weather events, and shifts in ecosystems, it underscores the urgency of adopting
sustainable practices. Mitigation strategies, including transitioning to renewable energy, reforestation, and international
collaboration, are pivotal for addressing this global challenge. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for
collective action to curb greenhouse gas emissions, fostering a sustainable and resilient future for the planet
