Electromagnetic radiation is a form of energy that is produced by oscillating electric and magnetic disturbance and takes many forms, such as radio waves, microwaves, X-rays and gamma rays. These electric and magnetic waves travel perpendicular to each other at the speed of light through a vacuum having different wavelengths. In 1864 James Clerk Maxwell was the first to invent the existence of electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic radiation includes radar waves, infrared radiation, light, ultraviolet light, x-rays, short waves, microwaves, gamma rays, radio waves, tv waves.
