Obesity and Sleep Apnea

In a 20 years survey record, it has been shown that obese individuals may acquire sleep disorders like sleep apnea. In this case, what actually happens is, obese individuals have cholesterol deposition in chest, neck and shoulder. This may lead to some respiratory complications that ultimately let sleep apnea to occur. The symptoms are snoring loudly, etc.

Obese individuals generally get obstructive sleep apnea, inwhich people can fall asleep anywhere and anytime. It can be during movies or watching television or while driving, etc. People having high fat at their neck region can have this disease. There seems to be a relationship between hunger and satiety hormones and sleep deprivation, though the exact nature of this relationship is unclear.
