Visceral obesity is a type of obesity disease in which active body fat gets accumulated or stored around important internal organs. This may be stored in abdominal organs such as pancreas , liver, intestine, etc. this accumulation of visceral fat generally leads to enlargement of belly leading to various other diseases such as Type-2 Diabetes.
Visceral obesity occurs when the extra fat distribution in the body occurs mainly at the abdominal parts of a human body. Visceral obesity may lead to several health related risks. Some of which are diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndromes, hypertension, cancer, cardiovascular disease, etc. Visceral obesity also causes higher inflammation in the body cells, leading to other health risks.
